Respect Assembly

This week, we had our first school-wide assembly. Each month, we will meet as a school and learn more about one of the Core Values of the Woodville School: Respect, Caring, Cooperation, Honesty, and Responsibility. I will read the children a book illustrating that core value and present awards to students who have brought that value to life over the month. In addition, our 4th grade students shared a poem about respect and sang a song about respect with the help of their teachers. Over this next month, we are looking for students who demonstrate the core value of Caring!

Respect
To give respect to one another,
Treat them like a sister or brother.
Show someone that you really care,
Make sure to compromise and always be fair.
To give respect to someone else,
First you need to respect yourself.
To show respect you have to learn,
To give everyone a chance or a turn.
Respect everyone until the end,
A teacher, parent, and always a friend.
So don't forget to respect all,
Whether it is spring, summer, winter, or fall.
